Dr. Melissa Anderson

Dr. Anderson has known she wanted to be a dentist since she was 11 years old. The opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone's confidence and well-being is what fuels Dr. Anderson's commitment to her work. For her, dentistry isn't just about treating teeth—it's about helping people feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

After earning her degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2019, Dr. Anderson continued her education with a one-year postdoctoral degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the US Army at Fort Campbell, KY. Upon completing her residency, Dr. Anderson served as a Captain in the Army, where she provided dental care to active duty service members at Fort Meade. She is dedicated to continuing her dental education, which is reflected in the advanced courses she has completed in areas such as clear aligner therapy, orofacial pain management, advanced general dentistry, and implant placement, including specialized training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. 

Dr. Anderson lives in Fells Point with her partner, Tim, and their cat, Mixi. She is still amazed by the Cherry Blossoms every Spring (it rivals Fall in New England!) and enjoys exploring the local restaurants, breweries, and vibrant culture of her neighborhood. Originally from Boston, Dr. Anderson has adopted Baltimore as her home, cheering on the Ravens every Sunday! When she’s not working, you can find Dr. Anderson cooking, reading, working out, traveling, or enjoying a leisurely walk around the harbor.
