Meet the Staff

Hello, I am Alice, a Registered Dental Hygienist, here at Dr Chen & Associates where I have been for over 28 years. I am certified in local anesthesia and an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. I enjoy taking continuing education classes to further my ability to provide my patients with the highest quality of care. By now, most of you know me, maybe too well, lol. I reside in Westminster, MD with my husband and son. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging with my dog Roxy and Jeeping on the weekends with my husband. 

I enjoy providing my patients with the highest level of care and comfort. There is great satisfaction in educating others, sharing my dental knowledge, and building lasting relationships. I take great pride in being able to do my job well and to handle my patient’s vulnerabilities with care. I am proud to say I have been with Dr’s. Chen & Associates for 23 years and counting.

I am a graduate of Medix School of Towson, Maryland, and have been working as a Dental Assistant/Dental Radiologist for 20 plus years. I have one child (a son) and am happily married to my husband, Corey. My goals throughout life are to be kindhearted and successful in all endeavors. My most impressive achievement is the raising of my son and, doing outstanding work in the continuation of my education. One factor I must say about myself is I'll never back down from a challenge. For there is, nothing to fear, but fear itself.

I journeyed from distant lands to the cherished land of the free and the home of the brave. In this country I discovered a deep affection for it.  Serendipitously, my path intertwined with Dr. Chen, an exceptional dentist, who graciously allowed me to pursue my passion-working closely with patients and witnessing the joy on their faces post-treatment, a source of immense happiness for me. I've dedicated 15 years to this remarkable office, and if fate allows, I aspire to continue contributing here for many more years. 

I have been a dental assistant for over 10 years and have been working at Dr. Chen & Associates for around 7 years. My favorite part of the job is interacting with patients and making them feel as comfortable and as at ease as possible. With my joking demeanor and outgoing personality, I have come to build friendships with our patients and special bonds with my coworkers. I thoroughly enjoy coming to work every day. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my grandkids and my family. 

Chennel, our Insurance Coordinator, has been with the practice for four years.  She has been working in the dental field for more than 20 years and has worked in many facets of the industry, including Dental Assisting in all Specialties and Systems Training. Chennel is a classically-trained singer who loves all genres of music and performs regularly with community-based chorale ‘The Carter Legacy Singers’ with other Alumnus of Morgan State University.  Chennel loves to travel and learn local culture and cuisine of her destinations. She has two daughters who are her favorite people. 

One of the first faces you see walking through the door, Vanessa, has a passion for helping others and is a great team player. With medical billing experience, and a high customer service background, her friendly and upbeat personality makes her a perfect fit for the front office, greeting all of our patients with a smile.
